You have your choice of five different engines to customize your driving experience. The basic engine is a 4.3-liter V6 engine with a six-speed automatic transmission and your choice of rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. A 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a 5.3-liter V-8 engine comes with six-, eight-, or 10-speed automatic transmission.

A 6.2-liter V-8 engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, while the most powerful Duramax 3.0 liter Turbodiesel V-6 engine is accompanied by a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Each engine and transmission pairing has its own payload and towing specifications, so you can customize the truck as needed for your purposes.

Safety

Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking is standard on all models of the Silverado 1500. Additional safety features like lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, multiple trailering safety functions, and more are also available or standard on higher-end trims.

Pricing

The base Work Truck trim of the Silverado 1500 costs about $29,300, while the highest High Country trim costs about $63,000. Some features offered by more expensive trims include more powerful engines, all-wheel drive, enhanced safety suites, upgraded interior, and more.

Trim Updates

Multiple trims have been updated for an even better driving experience. All trims now come standard with forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The Custom and Custom Trail Boss trims now have bed lighting, a damped tailgate, and remote engine start.

The LTZ and High Country trims come equipped with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and the Work Truck, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trims come with features like automatic emergency braking, steering wheel audio controls, and more.

Appearance Upgrades

The LTZ trim now comes with 20-inch polished alloy wheels. You also have your choice of new brown, red, and black paint for the exterior.

Additional Upgrade Options

A six-function multiflex tailgate and new safety and trailering assist systems are now available on all trims.
