He walked me through the entire process and made me feel very comfortable about my decision to purchase the car with no pressure. Every time I go there to have an oil change or inspection, I'm always there for an hour and a half )or more). I ask friends and family how long do these things take at other places and it's always a half hour or 45 minutes. Not sure why it takes so long here. I only go here because it's close to my house, but am thinking of going elsewhere.

Was waited on immediately as soon as driving through doors. Appointment requirements were reviewed. Was directed to waiting room and advised wait time. Was checked in on to request permission for additional maintenance and approved. Everyone was very helpful and courteous.

My vehicle needed an Inspection. I opted to have the oil changed and tire rotation at the same time. I asked about using my Rewards Points. Stephanie and Bob in the Service Department helped me with the process. I also needed assistance from Theresa in the Business Office on another matter. All were very friendly and helpful.

For me, it is too early to make a judgment on the work that was completed. I’ve only driven it from your dealership to my house and it sits in my garage. I’m driving my car at the present moment. This weekend I do plan to switch from my car to the truck and then See how things are going with the truck. So I’m not gonna say it’s a great experience or I’m not say it’s not a great experience. It’s just too early to tell. Let’s hope this last repair has solved the problem. Have a nice day.

John DeVey the salesmen I dealt with was very informative and personable. He walked me through the process of leaseing and made me feel comfortable with my new vehicle. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Van Bortel Chevrolet and they always go above and beyond when it comes to customer service.

I needed new windshield wipers front & back. They got me in that day & also replaced a seized wiper arm on the back window. I was very pleased with the service.

Great service; brought two of my cars in for oil changes and inspections. I was able to book the appointments on the day, and at the time I needed. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time.

I had brought in a car for a tire rotation not realizing it had wheel locks. Service called and explained the situation and with my permission took the time to search car. They found the original lug nuts but the key wasn’t there. Eventually the key was found and they took the car back in right away. I’ve always been pleased with the excellent service I’ve received from Van Bortel.

Yes, David Johnson provided me with time and effort in my new purchase and from his end he did an excellent job. On GM corporate and GM Marcus, I had issues with my rebates which I did not receive as David could not find anything for me. I had a $2,000 credit certificate from GM on a new purchase which David found out it was for a Buick. I called GM and they stated they corrected that for a Chevrolet. GM Marcus (credit card) told me I had a $1,239 credit towards a purchase of a new vehicle from GM and David could not find that. So once again, GM said I had these credits, but the dealer had no access to them, so I did not receive anything. Again, GM failed me, and I am very disappointed about GM, not the dealer. GM gets a negative 5 stars, and I will never recommend anyone purchasing from them and I definitely will never buy another GM product. As a note, I do love my new Trailblazer and currently have no issues with the actual vehicle or the sales team from VanBortal Chevy. I am now looking at all my options for legal possibilities and the New York State Attorney General's office to do an investigation on GM practices to see if they are defrauding customers and performing any illegal acts against the consumers. Truthfully, GM told me I had these credits, and I have proof of these credits that were not honored when I tried to use them on this new purchase. Once again, I am disappointed from GM from over 45 years of being a loyal customer to them. Very sad as this is not the first time I had issues with GM corporate not standing up truthfully to the consumer.

The Techs are great as is the service, however the billing, not so much. When a job is time studied and billed for 4 1/2 hours and it only takes one hour to accomplish I don't like getting billed for the 4 1/2 hours. A person should have to pay only for the work done. If it takes 6 hours to do this same work on someone's car, they should be billed for the 6 hours. I know this make your bookkeeping much easier and it's industry standard but I still don't have to like it. This sounds like the bad guy is always right. Where have I heard this before?

Online reservation was not received. Service was still able to get my oil change and tire rotation done in less than one hour. Thank you ☺️

I had my corvette serviced 4/16/25. Tires, oil change, inspection, 4 wheel alignment, new battery. The service adviser Richard Travato was outstanding! he got me a ride home, got my car in early, got all services done, and stayed late so I could pick my car up the same day. I have been buying and servicing my cars at Van Bortel for over 30 years. I would recommend then for all your automotive needs.

I wish I could give a better rating on my recent experience, unfortunately I cannot. At no fault of the service department, the speed of your internet to download the software needed was very slow. I spent two hours for something that should have been an hour or less. I was told about the issue and compensated for the wait time. All said and done I will continue to do business with your dealership.

Came in for brake inspection before I left on a road trip. It did not take long. They checked everything with the brakes and said it was all good. I did not need anything at this time. I waited for service and the break area was nice and clean. I appreciate the coffee and water while I waited.

My salesman, Matt Fagenbaum was excellent. I had an exceptional experience purchasing my dream vehicle! Matt was knowledgeable and kept me updated through the entire process. I also appreciate the fact that Van Bortel does not mark up new vehicles over MRSP. This is the number reason I went to Van Bortel to begin with. GM should take note how business is done at Van Bortel and apply that to all other dealers in their network. ADMs are not good for the consumer or the manufacturer.

The appointment was for state inspection and battery replacement. John did a excellent job, all the electronics worked as they did before. It was great seeing everyone there.

Dealership told SiriusXM that my vehicle was sold, when in fact I bought it off lease. Sirius then cancelled my subscription. Was an act of God to get subscription re-activated,

Very courteous service rep. Asking at end of service to reach out if I need anything. Only issue was I had to chase for a call back if car was ready. I live 45 minutes away so needed a call in advance if to get to dealership by requested time of 430pm

Lost power steering in my Silverado. I called and spoke to Stephanie about having it towed out on Friday morning. She wasn’t sure if anyone c could look at it until Monday, but she got in done Friday afternoon! Called me several times about the progress and was sympathetic and very personable the entire time! Kudos to technician Ed for getting it done!

Unable to repair my 2024 Silverado. Parts are on back order with no repair date. Was told by Bob at the service desk could be up to 7 months. They did not have a loaner truck available. Gm has been a nightmare to deal with, zero compensation for this mess. I use the truck everyday for my small business and it has affected me tremendously.

The car would not "connect" when we picked it up. In the almost month we owned it, it has never connected. This means no navigation, no assistant, etc. The latest theory is that GM never turned on the OnStar subscription. We're waiting on notification from the dealer that it has been turned on. We'll see. This has taken the joy out of this purchase.

Walked in after work to just see what they had and maybe set up an appointment. Ed was working in the used car building but seamlessly led me to the new car area where I ended up sealing the deal on a brand new equinox. He did a great job. Financing was very easy and I was pleased with my rate and all the work done behind the scenes to have it ready to be picked up.

The service people were friendly and wanted to help fix my problem. They actually listened to me and what was wrong with my truck. The same with the mechanic that worked on my truck. Even though the problem wasn't fixed, I will be bringing my truck back for a different technical person to take a look.

The staff was amazing. I am 81 years old and was concerned about my car. Although I chose to wait for the repair, I was offered the opportunity to go home during the repair. Had a flat tire in the morning (a small enough leak that I could fill it and drive a short distance). Called Van Bortel Chevy right away. Despite the fact that their service dept. is typically very busy, they said I could drop it off and they would get to it that day. I did, they fixed it that morning. Went on a ~150 mile trip the next day, no issues. I'm always very pleased with their service.

My Experience started last October, I traded in my 2SSRS Camaro towards a 2025 C8 Stingray Coupe at Van Bortel Corvette. Van Bortel Corvette is the Number 1 dealership in our area. They gave me a great deal on my Camaro and put my order in for a 2025 C8 Corvette Stingray. My Salesman Matt Fagenbaum took the time to put in my order and to make sure all of my options were included. Matt's knowledge of the Corvette made the experience easy and fun. My order was accepted by GM for production but for unknown reasons my car was never built. Matt kept me informed during the whole process. The order never moved to Production status and was never built. Matt called me and told me that GM wasn't going to produce my Corvette! He said he could get me a Corvette from another dealer, but I wanted the car that I ordered. He called me in June and said he had an allotment for a 2026 C8 Corvette, He took the time to make sure my 2026 Order was exactly what I wanted. The 2026 Corvette was ordered and excepted by GM. The Corvette made it to Production Status and was produced. My 2026 Sebring Orange 2LT C8 Stingray was VIN #9. My Dealership Van Bortel Corvette is Number 1, and my salesman Matt Fagenbaum was exceptional from start to finish. Question for GM: Why doesn't a $100,000.00 high tech Supercar come with an Owners Manual in the glovebox? The age group of People buying the Corvettes need a "Real" Owners Manual.

I went in for oil change and tire rotation. Was also inquiring about my tires as I felt I had hydroplaned when driving in rain on my last trip. Gwen and service tech confirmed my suspicions and I will set up appointment for new tires in the next month. She advised me of an upcoming sale for tires.

Great service, friendly staff and timely for an oil change, filter and rotate the tires.

I brought my car in for service to have my tires rotated a noise in the front and to get it inspected. The noise in the front. I don't believe I caused but I had to pay for it. It was some of the molding that came loose. My inspection failed because of my brakes and I only had 27,000 mi on my car and they're saying that my brakes were dying. The brakes on my Volkswagen lasted 90,000 mi and my Chevrolet which I don't use the brakes on didn't last that long.. no one told me that brakes on a electric car will fail so much sooner and yet they told me you'll get $200,000 mi out of my brakes. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am and I won't. Don't think I'm going to be recommending an electric card anyway

My truck had an intermittent problem with the radio. It would switch at random to other screens. You would hear a beep as if someone was constantly pushing a button on the digital screen. The problem would happen at random times. When the radio switched to other screens it would cause the digital screen in front of the driver to change from the info / speed screen to whatever radio station you were listening to. The radio was behind on its updates. After a couple of days, after getting the truck back, the radio started to switch from display screen to different screens. Very strange problem. It didn't seem to be heat related. It would happen at different times of the day or not at all.

I had my 2004 Corvette serviced for an issue with active handling. After the repair was done half way home the problem came back. I brought the car back and Vanbortel replaced a defective part. They took good care of me and my car and after a full week of driving things seem to be fine. Pleased with the way I was treated and no complaints . Thank you Vanbortel for making good on your service. A defective part can not be known until used. Thanks Again!

Service work was exceptional as usual, but I had an expired inspection sticker on my vehicle and it was not brought to my intention. I not it after my service appointment and have to come back again to have my car inspected. I wish they would have alerted me to this while I was in for two tires and an oil change.

Tech AAron with assistance with other tech changed oil and fixed tire monitor system. tire rotation was performed Tech AAron retrived bad sensor and explained how sensor monitor worked on tires.
