We had an issue with the remote start not working. I told Gwen the check engine light was also on. We determined it was still drivable and she scheduled me to get in quickly for diagnosis. They explained to me what had to be done. I’m very with the service work and service team. They find discounts for me. They make me feel like family.

The service people were friendly and wanted to help fix my problem. They actually listened to me and what was wrong with my truck. The same with the mechanic that worked on my truck. Even though the problem wasn't fixed, I will be bringing my truck back for a different technical person to take a look.

Had a flat tire in the morning (a small enough leak that I could fill it and drive a short distance). Called Van Bortel Chevy right away. Despite the fact that their service dept. is typically very busy, they said I could drop it off and they would get to it that day. I did, they fixed it that morning. Went on a ~150 mile trip the next day, no issues. I'm always very pleased with their service.

I recently purchased a new 2025 Silverado 2500 from your dealership, and the entire process was made so easy. I’m very happy with my experience and look forward to continuing to come to you in the years ahead.

My Experience started last October, I traded in my 2SSRS Camaro towards a 2025 C8 Stingray Coupe at Van Bortel Corvette. Van Bortel Corvette is the Number 1 dealership in our area. They gave me a great deal on my Camaro and put my order in for a 2025 C8 Corvette Stingray. My Salesman Matt Fagenbaum took the time to put in my order and to make sure all of my options were included. Matt's knowledge of the Corvette made the experience easy and fun. My order was accepted by GM for production but for unknown reasons my car was never built. Matt kept me informed during the whole process. The order never moved to Production status and was never built. Matt called me and told me that GM wasn't going to produce my Corvette! He said he could get me a Corvette from another dealer, but I wanted the car that I ordered. He called me in June and said he had an allotment for a 2026 C8 Corvette, He took the time to make sure my 2026 Order was exactly what I wanted. The 2026 Corvette was ordered and excepted by GM. The Corvette made it to Production Status and was produced. My 2026 Sebring Orange 2LT C8 Stingray was VIN #9. My Dealership Van Bortel Corvette is Number 1, and my salesman Matt Fagenbaum was exceptional from start to finish. Question for GM: Why doesn't a $100,000.00 high tech Supercar come with an Owners Manual in the glovebox? The age group of People buying the Corvettes need a "Real" Owners Manual.

Great Service Department

Great service. Called last minute and the service department got me right in for an inspection Was just a little surprised that I got charged being part of the corvette club

I brought my car in for service to have my tires rotated a noise in the front and to get it inspected. The noise in the front. I don't believe I caused but I had to pay for it. It was some of the molding that came loose. My inspection failed because of my brakes and I only had 27,000 mi on my car and they're saying that my brakes were dying. The brakes on my Volkswagen lasted 90,000 mi and my Chevrolet which I don't use the brakes on didn't last that long.. no one told me that brakes on a electric car will fail so much sooner and yet they told me you'll get $200,000 mi out of my brakes. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am and I won't. Don't think I'm going to be recommending an electric card anyway

Service work was exceptional as usual, but I had an expired inspection sticker on my vehicle and it was not brought to my intention. I not it after my service appointment and have to come back again to have my car inspected. I wish they would have alerted me to this while I was in for two tires and an oil change.

I had my 2004 Corvette serviced for an issue with active handling. After the repair was done half way home the problem came back. I brought the car back and Vanbortel replaced a defective part. They took good care of me and my car and after a full week of driving things seem to be fine. Pleased with the way I was treated and no complaints . Thank you Vanbortel for making good on your service. A defective part can not be known until used. Thanks Again!

My truck had an intermittent problem with the radio. It would switch at random to other screens. You would hear a beep as if someone was constantly pushing a button on the digital screen. The problem would happen at random times. When the radio switched to other screens it would cause the digital screen in front of the driver to change from the info / speed screen to whatever radio station you were listening to. The radio was behind on its updates. After a couple of days, after getting the truck back, the radio started to switch from display screen to different screens. Very strange problem. It didn't seem to be heat related. It would happen at different times of the day or not at all.

Scheduling was easy I needed tires and Gwen told me of the great tire sale scheduled in October. So I scheduled my appt during October. Everyone is pleasant. Waiting area very nice. Clean and nice.

After working unsuccessfully with another dealership regarding an intermittent issue with the charge cord for our Equinox EV, Van Bortel efficiently researched the issues and responded by replacing the faulty cord under the warranty. This was our expectation based on our three trips to the other Chevy dealer. Van Bortel Chevrolet in Macedon has actual EV experienced staff. Even given the distance to Van Bortel (an hour away), we will be having service done there.

The #2 display screen malfunctioned and displayed a blank screen. I notified the dealership of the issue and scheduled an appointment to diagnose and repair it. I brought the car to the dealership for repair. The dealership notified me the issue was resolved and that I could pick up the car. After the repair, I noticed my display lost some functionality. Specifically the # 2 display has a split screen mode. Prior to the repair I could display tire press on the left side of the split screen. Im not sure if the reinstalled software does not have does not include this functionality or if there is a setup issue. The technician that was assigned to assist me was unsure as well. Im not sure who to discuss the issue with but certainly would like the car to function as it did when I purchased it.

For starters, I felt like a celebrity. The technician assigned to do an oil change on my GMC Yukon was my favorite Corvette tech. John's dedication to his craft is amazing. Kudos to the entire service staff, from Scott Robins right down the entire service staff roster! I rarely used dealerships in the past, I'm now a very satisfied "VanBortal" dealership person!

Well this is the third time or fourth time I've been back regarding the tires on my car that includes taking someone for a test ride. Both. When I told him that I had an issue with my tires and my wife, they kind of looked at us with scorn and did not believe us in the old adage of the customer is always right. Didn't seem to fit so when I finally got them to really work on the car look at the car they found out two of my tires were defective so I ended up receiving two new tires and no one said. I'm sorry you had to go through this. I'm sorry we didn't believe you nothing as an apology for not believing myself and my wife that was that was disappointing

Delivered car to service center as requested at 8:30 am 3/12 for service. Had NYS inspection and oil change and tire rotation. All was performed quickly and efficiently. All gauges turned back to required status and completed service within 1/2 hour. All items passed with the car and was all good.

Excellent staff and service though it took 5 hours to fix my corvette. Came in for oil change and inspection. Found a mouse built a nest in engine area. Also did a complete spark plug replacement due to hesitation issues. Did not plan waiting that long. I live an hour away from service dept. Again, John the mechanic was the best - explained everything that needed to be done. Thanks Van Bortle!

I took my car in for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived at the appointment I told the receptuthat I noticed the inspection was due and asked if they could possibly fit it in or if they could schedule an inspection for me. She said that they could fit it into the appointment. All was done in a timely, efficient manner. It is obvious that EVERYONE at VanBortel has been trained in customer service and strives to meet the highest of standards in this area.

Everyone was very professional with no hard sell tactics. I have bought here before and would highly recommend this dealership. There was one bird dropping on the car when I picked it up and they cleaned it off before I left the lot. Very professional.

I have had this vehicle in for service several times and it appeared to have an issue that could not be identified. In as much as we did not feel comfortable taking the vehicle on a long trip, we decided to trade it for another sub, taking a pretty big financial hit.

Did not have normal mechanic Seemed to take a little longer than usual for nys inspection and oil change. Otherwise a successful appointment and my car is good to go again.
