Gone with the 2025 Corvette E-Ray as your C8? It’s a well-rounded pick, offering all-season usability, a bit of electric driving for quiet getaways (about 3 to 4 miles, but still handy), and insane performance when you need it.
Trim Levels of the 2025 Corvette E-Ray
1LZ
You won’t have to go any higher than the base 1LZ trim to tap into the E-Ray’s monstrous performance. It pairs the Stingray’s 495-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 with a 160-horsepower electric motor for a combined 655 horsepower. That’s enough to launch from zero to sixty mph in 2.5 seconds and run the quarter mile in 10.5.
The interior matches this high-powered attitude with a driver-focused layout. You get leather GT1 bucket seats by default (Competition Sports seats are available if you’re after more support), a racing-style flat-top and bottom steering wheel with controls for audio, phone, and cruise functions, and a head-up display. Other highlights include a ten-speaker Bose audio system, wireless CarPlay, and a rear camera mirror. Oh, and it’s available as a coupe or a convertible.
2LZ
This trim keeps what works in the 1LZ and dials it up slightly. For instance, both front seats are heated, ventilated, well-bolstered, and come with memory settings. The steering is heated as well. Beyond upgrading what the 1LZ already offers, this model adds a Bose Performance Series 14-speaker audio system, side blind zone assist, rear cross traffic alert, wireless charging, cargo nets (to prevent items from shifting while in transit), power-folding outside mirrors, and an HD front camera.
You’ll also appreciate the standard Performance Data and Video Recorder. This tool captures video along with real-time data like speed, RPM, track maps, lap times, and g-forces. Off the track, you can set it to record scenic drives. In Valet Mode, it automatically records whenever someone else is driving your car.
3LZ
The top-of-the-line 3LZ comes with GT2 bucket seats, Napa leather (while other trims are draped in Mulan leather), carbon fiber steering wheel, and soft-touch suede microfiber wrapping on the headliner, visors, A-pillar, and the trim above the windshield and rear window. Additionally, the upper instrument panel, door trim panels, and console cover are all covered in soft leather, adding to the cabin’s truly upscale feel.
The E-Ray’s brilliance is best understood behind the wheel. For a test drive, stop by Van Bortel Chevrolet, Inc. in Macedon, NY.
