The first two numbers will tell you which week of the year they were made, and the last two tell you the year.
Your Tread Has Worn Down
The most critical sign that your tires are worn out is the depth of your tread. A tread depth of 2/32 of an inch or less means that it’s time for a new set of tires. Measure whether your tread is too low with a penny. Slip it into the tread groove with Abraham Lincoln upside down. If you can see the top of his head, the tires need to be replaced.
