2023 Chevrolet Silverado
If you're in the market for a new pickup truck, there's nothing quite like the new Silverado. This truck boasts impressive capability, style, and technology that you may not want to miss out on. While there are plenty of other pickups available on the market, nothing comes close to the experience you get behind the wheel of one of Chevy's finest. Learn all about the new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado, and find out if it's right for you.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
With seven different available trim levels, it's easy to find the Silverado that fits your needs best. At the beginning, you'll find the Work Truck, or WT trim, which is the base-level Silverado. Despite it being the bottom option, it has features like 17-inch wheels, high-beam headlights, and a rear bumper corner step. If that's not enough, you can upgrade to the Custom trim for 20-inch alloy wheels and LED cargo bed lights. Meanwhile, the LT gets LED headlights.
With the RST trim, the Silverado is a bit more refined with fog lights and LED taillights. Upgrade to the LTZ, and you get chrome bumpers too. At the High Country level, the Silverado excels at off-roading, coming standard with all-terrain tires. Finally, the ZR2 is an off-roading champion sporting skid plate protection and 33-inch all-terrain tires.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of the Silverado, you'll find one of four different engine options. The base-level engine is a 2.7-liter inline-four that offers 310 horsepower with 420 pound-feet of torque. If that's not quite enough for you, you may prefer the 5.3-liter V-8 engine, which produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 6.2-liter V-8 offers 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the Silverado can be equipped with a 3-liter inline-six that's diesel-powered producing 277 horsepower with 460 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado's performance shines brightest when you look at its capability. It can tow up to 13,300 pounds when properly equipped, but the smaller V-8 engine still offers an impressive capacity of 11,500 pounds. Maintaining control of your haul is easy too thanks to the trailer sway control system and eight available cameras. The payload capability is impressive too, with a 2,280-pound maximum. Even with the WT trim, you still get a payload capacity of 1,870 pounds.
Interior
In addition to its focus on capability and performance, the Chevy Silverado has an alluring interior packed with impressive technology. For example, you'll find a 13.4-inch infotainment system available that comes complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, rear passengers you take with you will be delighted by the 43.4 inches of legroom in the crew cab version of the Silverado.
Safety Features
Safety is an important aspect of any vehicle, and the Silverado's safety features let you drive with peace of mind. Several standard systems let you feel protected even from the base model, such as blind-spot monitoring and emergency braking. Additionally, the Silverado earned a full five stars for its overall safety rating after extensive crash tests by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
