2023 Chevrolet Blazer
If you're in the market for a new SUV, you'll have no shortage of options to choose from. Most of these vehicles have plenty of interior space, an elevated viewing position, and plenty of power under the hood to get you where you need to go in style. Some models tend to stand out, however, and a shining example of everything an SUV can offer is the new 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. Learn all about the new Blazer, and discover whether or not it's right for you.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new Blazer has four different trim levels, and they each have unique exterior features you'll want to consider when trying to find the best fit. The first trim is the 2LT, which comes standard with 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, heated power side mirrors, and LED headlights. If that's not enough, the 3LT trim boasts a power rear liftgate too.
For drivers looking for a bit more in terms of features, the RS trim is a good place to start with its hands-free power liftgate that's foot-activated and 20-inch wheels with black and silver designs. The top trim is the Premier, which outfits the Blazer with sleek chrome accents on the exterior along with silver roof rails and 20-inch silver wheels.
Engine (Power)
Two engines are available for the new Blazer, and they both have plenty of power to reliably get you where you need to go. The base engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that's turbocharged offering 228 horsepower with 258 pound-feet of torque. If that's not enough, a 3.6-liter V-6 is available that offers 308 horsepower with 270 pound-feet of torque. Either way, the engine is paired with a responsive nine-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Being behind the wheel of the Blazer is a fun experience that's relaxing as well whether you're on your daily commute or a long road trip. It's quite speedy too, only taking 6.6 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour from a dead stop. No other vehicle in the Blazer's class can match that kind of acceleration. SUVs tend to have an unfavorable body-roll effect when cornering, but the Blazer is designed to mitigate this as much as possible. Additionally, this SUV offers a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.
Interior
When you sit inside the Blazer, one of the first features you'll probably notice is the 10-inch touchscreen interface with which you can access the intuitive infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard along with wireless charging capabilities. The 41 inches of legroom is certainly relaxing too, and your rear passengers can find comfort as well with 39.6 inches of legroom. In terms of cargo, you get 64.2 cubic feet of space.
Safety Features
The Blazer is loaded with safety features including driver assistance systems that actively work to keep you and your passengers safe. These include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams standard on all models. A blind-spot monitor and adaptive cruise control are available as an upgrade, while lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist comes with the Blazer automatically.
