Car brought in on 12/22/2018 for check engine light and was advised it was a brake booster code for low vacuum. Technicians had to reset computer as unable to complete by service advisor area. Brought car back after technician's lunch hour and was repaired in about 1-1/2 hours. Light was no longer showing and as yet has not reappeared Was advised if check engine light returns to bring back in and part would need to be ordered to repair the brake booster issue. Good service in good time especially since it was brought in without an appointment.
I had an excellent experience when I purchased my Equinox and every time I’ve brought the car in I was welcomed and provided with great service. The only improvement I would suggest is a “Rapid Service Lane” when all I need is an oil change or similar limited service.
I contacted Mike H. (Business Manager @ Subaru store), because he had sold me tires for my Trailblazer a couple of years ago and they seemed to be wearing out prematurely. Obviously, he is no longer at the Chevy store, but continues to exceed our expectations in service. He contacted the Parts manager & Paul in service on our behalf, and they took the ball from there. I stopped by so Paul could measure the tire depth and he handled getting us new prorated tires under warranty. Thanks again, Paul & Mike!
I would not be leaving a good review were it not for the manager contacting me and being very accommodating regarding issues I was having with my car after it was serviced. It took awhile with much time and frustration but he was fair in the end so I am left feeling good about my experience.
Van Bortel chevy is the real deal, a complete staff that are customer focused on taking the service experience to the highest level beyond any dealer in the area (Rochester included). I pass at least 4 dealers to go to Van Bortel and it is an overwhelming experience every time!! Thanks to the service manager and your outstanding team for all that you do !!
Had my Colorado in for it's first oil change and to diagnose a transmission problem. No issue with the service but the loaner was unwashed, inside windshield was filthy. Appreciate the loaner but I would expect that some pride would be involved...I guess that is expecting too much...
$30 for a tire plug is very expensive. After I find out the about the cost, I did some research online to find out why it was so high. I discovered that a tire plug and patch was required in addition to removing the tire from the rim. That seemed to justify the additional expense. When I received my truck back I inquired about the job and discovered that only a plug was used and the tire was not removed from the rim. I feel as though I definitely did not get good value for my money. In the future I will get service at another dealer or at a specialty tire shop. Though I was gouged on this particular service job it came at the expense of my future business for both of my Chevy’s.
